MOWT to Provide Temporary Relief to Garth Road, Princes Town

Release date: 9/7/2017

The Ministry of Works and Transport is aware of the depressions that continue to affect motorists along Garth Road, Princes Town, between the Naparima Mayaro and Guaracara Tabaquite Roads and is working with the Princes Town Regional Corporation to provide temporary relief to motorists.

The Ministry of Works and Transport has continued to conduct temporary restorative work on the major depression at Garth Road which is approximately 45 metres in length, to allow better access to motorists in the absence of full funding to restore the road completely.

The Ministry wishes to advise motorists to continue to proceed with caution while utilising the Road, as patching work is expected to continue over the next week, with the assistance of the Princes Town Regional Corporation.
