Completion of the St. Mary’s Police Station.
On December 24th, 2025, the Honourable Jearlean John, Minister of Works and Infrastructure, delivered remarks at the Ceremony to mark the successful conversion of the St Mary’s Police Post into the St Mary’s Police Station.

Minister John participated in this event alongside the Honourable Roger Alexander, Minister of Homeland Security; the Honourable Michelle Benjamin, MP for Moruga/Tableland and Minister of Culture and Community Development; and Mr Allister Guevarro, Commissioner of Police.

In her remarks, Minister John stated, “Today’s upgraded station adds meaningful value to national investment in our security infrastructure. As Minister of Works and Infrastructure, I firmly believe that the physical environment we create shapes behaviour. Discipline breeds order. Order creates stability and cleanliness create disciple.”

Completed by the Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT), this upgrade will strengthen policing capacity and deliver practical improvements focused on safer communities and stronger public security.
