Relocation of Provisional Permit/Driving Test


RELOCATION OF PROVISIONAL PERMIT/DRIVING TEST

The Transport Division wishes to advise of the process for requesting relocation of Provisional Permits and Driving Test.  In an effort to enhance convenience and efficiency for our valued customers, we have streamlined the requirements and procedures for requesting a relocation for Provisional Permit and Driving Test.
 
Effective immediately, individuals seeking to relocate their Driving Test or Driving Regulations   are required to provide the following: -

  1. A signed letter addressed to the Transport Commissioner, including the following: -
  • Postal Address of applicant.
  • Copy of Provisional Permit.
  • Email address.
  • Justification for the request to relocate.
  • A valid Trinidad and Tobago contact number.
NB: -   It is to be noted that only in extreme circumstances, consideration may be given to the following relocation:
  1. Arima to Port-of-Spain
  2. Port-of-Spain to Arima
  3. Port-of-Spain to Caroni
  4. Caroni to Port-of-Spain
This service can be accessed by either of the following:
  • drivingrecords@mowt.gov.tt  or;
  • In-Person Submission: Deliver request to the office of the Transport Commissioner at the Caroni Licensing Office located on the Southern Main Road in Caroni, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, W.I.
Please note persons who would have applied for their Provisional Permit via the New Online System do not require permission to relocate their Provisional Permit application.  Such Persons can simply book their appointments at their Licensing Office of choice.
Note: Relocation for Provisional Permit requests are usually completed within five (5) to ten (10) working days.
