The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the public that the St. James Licensing Office will be temporarily closed, effective Monday 11th July 2022. This has become necessary to conduct repairs on the facility.

Further Extension of the Validity of Expired Licensing Documents

Given the impact of the ongoing State of Emergency and the COVID-19 Pandemic on the operations of the Licensing Division, Cabinet of Trinidad and Tobago has taken a decision as follows:

1. Driving permits, taxi driver licences, badges, certificates or other documents issued by the Licensing Division which expired on or before January 31st 2022 shall be deemed valid until 1st February 2022.

2. Any transfer of vehicle registration required to be completed on or before January 31st, 2022 may be completed on or before 1st February, 2022.
