All Public Transport to Operate at 50% Seating Capacity

In the ongoing national response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Honourable Stuart Young, Minister of National Security, announced at a Press Conference held on Friday 27th March, 2020 that with immediate effect, all licensed public transport/ public service vehicles are to operate at a 50% passenger seating capacity.

Temporary Closure of all Licensing Offices

The Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) wishes to advise the general public that ALL of its Licensing Offices will be CLOSED to the public from Tuesday 31st March, 2020 to Wednesday 15th, April, 2020.

This is in compliance with the Government’s implementation of a nationwide “Stay at Home Measure” to curtail the further spread of the COVID-19.

The Ministry apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Sangre Grande Licensing Office is Coming Soon!

The start of construction on the Sangre Grande Licensing Office marks one initiative of the modernisation of the Licensing Offices. The new licensing office will cater to approximately 150 transactions per day with 25 members of staff renewing driving permits and processing applications.
