REGULATIONS
Made by the Commissioner of Police with the consent of the Minister of Works and
Transport under section 67(1) of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act
THE TRAFFIC CONTROL (EXPERIMENTAL SCHEME) (TUNAPUNA) REGULATIONS, 2011
Citation1. These Regulations may be cited as the Traffic Control (Experimental Scheme) (Tunapuna) Regulations, 2011.
Duration2. These Regulations shall commence on Monday 28th March, 2011 and shall expire on Sunday 26th June, 2011.
One-way traffic3. Motorists shall proceed in-
a) a northerly direction on Pentecostal Road, between the Eastern Main Road and Lockpat Street, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays;
b) a northerly direction on Khaden Street, between the Eastern Main Road and Lockpat Street, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays;
c) a northerly direction on Goya Street, between the Eastern Main Road and Mohammed Street, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays;
d) a northerly direction on Caura Royal Road, between the Eastern Main Road and Mohammed Street, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays;
e) a southerly direction on Ramjit Street between the Eastern Main Road and Wilkinson Street, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays;
f) a southerly direction on Joyeau Street, between the Eastern Main Road and Wilkinson Street, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays;
g) a southerly direction on Lover’s Lane, between the Eastern Main Road and Back Street, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays;
h) a southerly direction on Govia Street, between the Eastern Main Road and Back Street, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays; and
i) a westerly direction on Kalkisingh Street, between Mohammed Street and Dennah Street.
No entry4. Motorists are prohibited from entering-
a) Macoya Road Extension, from Back Street, west of Macoya Road Extension, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays;
b) Back Street, from Back Street west, from 6:00 a. m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays; and
c) Macoya Road Extension, from Back Street east, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
No right turn5. Motorists proceeding-
a) north along Macoya Road Extension, shall not turn right at its intersection with Back Street between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays;
b) east along Back Street, west of Macoya Road Extension, shall not turn right at its intersection with Macoya Road Extension, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays; and
c) west along Back Street, east of Macoya Road Extension, shall not turn right at its intersection with Macoya Road Extension, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
No left turn6. Motorists proceeding west along Back Street, east of Macoya Road Extension, shall not turn left at its intersection with Macoya Road Extension, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
Parking prohibited7. Motorists shall not park along-
a) El Dorado Road, between the Eastern Main Road and Lockpat Street, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays; and
b) Eastern Main Road, between Caura Royal Road and Goya Street.
Offence and penalty8. Any person who contravenes these Regulations is liable on summary conviction for a first offence to a fine of seven hundred and fifty dollars and on any subsequent conviction to a fine of one thousand dollars.
Removal and impounding of vehicles unlawfully parked
Chap. 48:509. Without prejudice to any other liability incurred by the commission of a summary offence, vehicles found parked in contravention of these Regulations, may be removed by the Police and impounded and dealt with in accordance with section 108(1)(b) of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act
