On Wednesday 27th September, 2023 Senator the Honourable Rohan Sinanan, Minister of Works and Transport accompanied by His Worship Balliram Maharaj, Mayor of Arima and the Honourable Lisa Morris-Julian, Minister in the Ministry of Education/Member of Parliament for D’abadie/O’Meara officially turned the sod for the O’Meara Road Upgrade Project.
This project forms part of the Ministry’s strategic framework to address traffic alleviation, the continued upgrade of road infrastructure, and the expansion of our nation’s highways grid system.
Our roadmap for development is intended to improve traffic congestion and enhance road safety, ultimately improving levels of productivity.
