Temporary Traffic Disruption - Moruga Road (Chainage 4+800)

The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along Moruga Road, in the vicinity of Champion Hill and Samuel Cooper Junction. This is necessary in order to facilitate the Water and Sewerage Authority’s (WASA) infrastructure relocation for the construction of a Retaining Wall.


This disruption will take place on Wednesday 2nd March, 2022 between the hours of 9:00 am – 8:00 pm. Motorists are advised of the following for the duration of the exercise:

1. Alternative Access- 5th Company Road (Road #1)
2. Extra heavy vehicles will NOT be permitted to traverse on the alternative access due to slope instabilities along the roadway.

Considering the above, motorists are advised to comply with the following: -
• Please proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.
• Please comply with instructions from Police Officers on-site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
• Please be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site.
• Please drive with caution on all milled (possibly uneven) surfaces.
• Motorists should drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone.
