Curepe Interchange Clean Up

The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, through its Highways Division, has intensified clean-up operations nationwide to safeguard communities and roadways from flooding. Recently, the Division completed works at the Curepe Blackman Ravine along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, where teams cleared debris and silt from the culvert crossing. This critical intervention has improved water flow through the ravine, significantly reducing the risk of flooding in Curepe and its surrounding communities. At the same time, the works help protect the durability of the highway by preventing water-related damage to its infrastructure.

The Ministry reminds members of the public that improper disposal of litter can block waterways and increase the risk of flooding, and therefore urges everyone to play their part in safeguarding their communities through responsible waste management.
