The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along the Southern Main Road, Mc Bean, Couva 31.5km mark (Junction of Southern Main Road and Calcutta Road No.1). This is necessary in order to facilitate the Replacement of a Cylindrical Crossing.
The hours of work will be conducted from 9:00p.m on Wednesday 16th February 2022 to 5:00a.m. on
Thursday 17th February 2022.
Traffic during this period would be limited to a single lane within a section of the work zone as well as
moderate periods of traffic stoppage.
In light of the above, motorists are advised to comply with the following:
- Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.
- Comply with instructions from Police Officers or flag persons on-site, to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
- Be aware of equipment in the work zone and entering/exiting the site.
- Motorists should drive at a reduced speed and proceed with caution, on approaching the work zone.
