These temporary traffic disruptions are necessary to facilitate the completion of geotechnical works associated with the Macoya Interchange Project. Works will be executed from Tuesday 14th December, 2021 to Friday 17th December, 2021 between the hours of 7:00 am and 2:00 pm.

In the vicinity of the work zone:

  • A minimum of two (2) lanes of traffic along the CRH eastbound section will remain open to motorists at all times; and

  • Three (3) lanes of traffic along the CRH westbound section will remain open to motorists at all times.

Motorists are advised to comply with the following:

  • Proceed with caution and drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone;

  • Observe all directional signage and traffic control devices provided on approaching the site;

  • Be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site; and

  • Comply with instructions issued by Police Officers to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.

All precautions are being taken by the MOWT, NIDCO and its Consultant to guarantee that proper Health, Safety and Environmental Standards are maintained.
