Benefits

• Over 300 meters of shoreline has been reinforced with a rubble mound revetment and toe protection to better withstand wave action and reduce erosion.
• Helps protects Paria Main Road, Matelot Fishing Centre and Matelot Community School, just to name a few infrastructures, that can be protected from coastal damage.
• Added base protection strengthens the structure and helps prevent it from being worn away over time.
• A new access staircase provides a safer and more convenient way to reach the coast.
