CLOSURE OF BRIDGE AT CALCUTTA ROAD NO. 2
The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure wishes to advise the public that Bridge B1/3, Calcutta Road No 2 will be closed to Vehicular Traffic with immediate effect until further notice. As a result there would not be any through traffic on Calcutta Road No 2. Alternative routes are as follows:
From Solomon Hochoy Highway (North Bound)
Exit at Freeport Overpass, turn left onto Freeport Mission Rd, turn left onto Calcutta Rd #3 next to Freeport Police Station and exit on Calcutta Rd #2
OR
Travel west along Freeport Mission Rd until Four Roads Junction and turn Left onto Calcutta Rd #2
From Solomon Hochoy Highway (South Bound)
Exit at Freeport Overpass, turn right onto Freeport Mission Rd, turn left onto Calcutta Rd #3 next to Freeport Police Station and exit on Calcutta Rd #2
OR
Travel West along Freeport Mission Rd until Four Roads Junction and turn Left onto Calcutta Rd #2,
From Southern Main Rd (South Bound)
Turn Left at St. Mary's Junction until Four Roads Junction, turn Right onto Calcutta Rd. #2
From Southern Main Rd (North Bound)
Turn Right onto Calcutta Rd #1 and exit onto Calcutta Rd #2
OR
Turn Right at St. Mary's Junction until Four Roads Junction then, turn Right onto Calcutta Rd. #2

This closure has become necessary because Bridge B 1/3 Calcutta Road No 2 has become structurally deficient and is not capable of supporting vehicular traffic.
The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
