REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
Citation1. These Regulations may be cited as the Traffic Control (Experimental Scheme) (Chaguanas) Regulations, 2011.
Duration2. These Regulations shall commence on Monday 28th March, 2011 and expire on Sunday 26th June, 2011.
Two-way traffic3. Vehicular traffic shall proceed on Ramsaran Street, between the Southern Main Road and Marc Street, in both an easterly and westerly direction.
Parking Prohibited4. Parking is prohibited on-
(a) the Southern Main Road, between Factory Road and the Triangle in Chase Village; and
(b) Factory Road, between the Southern Main Road and Perseverance Road.
5. Vehicular traffic shall proceed in a-
a) southerly direction only on Andrew Street, between the Southern Main Road and Algernon Street; and
b) westerly direction only on 10th Avenue, Orchard Gardens, between Xavier Street Extension and Wilking Boulevard, between the hours of 7.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on Public Holidays.
No right turn6. Motorist proceeding east along the Southern Main Road shall not
turn right onto Andrew Street.
Offence and penalty
7. Any person who contravenes any of these Regulations is liable on summary conviction for a first offence to a fine of seven hundred and fifty dollars and on any subsequent conviction to a fine of one thousand dollars.
Removal and impounding of vehicles unlawfully parked
Chap 48:508. Without prejudice to any other liability incurred by the commission of a summary offence vehicles found parked in contravention of these Regulations, may be removed by the Police and impounded and dealt with in accordance with section 108(1)(b) of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act.
