REGULATIONS

Made by the Commissioner of Police with the consent of the Minister of Works and
Transport under section 67(1) of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act


THE TRAFFIC CONTROL (EXPERIMENTAL SCHEME) (ENDEAVOUR) REGULATIONS, 2010

 

 Citation

  1. These Regulations may be cited as the Traffic Control (Experimental Scheme) (Endeavour) Regulations, 2010.

 Duration

 2. These Regulations shall have effect from Monday 13th  December, 2010 to Saturday 12th March, 2011.



 No entry

 3. No motorist shall enter the Endeavour Flyover from:
  (a)  the north entrance ramp;
  (b)  the south entrance ramp;
  (c)  the north exit ramp whilst proceeding in a southerly direction  along the Uriah Butler Highway; and
  (d)  the south exit ramp whilst proceeding in a northerly direction  along the Uriah Butler Highway.

 Parking prohibited

 4. Parking is prohibited on-
  (a)  Chan Ramlal Trace; and
  (b)  Endeavour Link Road
   


 No right turn

 5. No motorist shall turn right onto—
  (a)  the north entrance ramp whilst proceeding in a westerly direction  across the Endeavour Flyover;
  (b)  the south entrance ramp whilst proceeding in an easterly  direction across the Endeavour Flyover; and
  (c)  the intersection of the Endeavour Flyover and the Endeavour  Roadbound ramp (east end of the bridge) whilst proceeding in an  easterly direction across the Endeavour Flyover.

 No left turn

 6. No motorist shall turn left onto-
  (a)  the south entrance ramp whilst proceeding in a westerly direction  across the Endeavour Flyover; and
  (b)  the north entrance ramp whilst proceeding in an easterly  direction across the Endeavour Flyover.

 Offence and penalty

 8.  Any person who contravenes these Regulations is liable on  summary conviction for a first offence to a fine of seven hundred  and fifty dollars and on any subsequent conviction to a fine of  one thousand dollars

Removal and  impounding of
vehicles unlawfully  parked

 9. Without prejudice to any other liability incurred by the commission  of a summary offence, vehicles found parked in contravention of  these Regulations, may be removed by the Police and impounded  and dealt with in accordance with section 108 (1) (b) of the  Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act.
